The 12 Most Exclusive Hotels in Paris

Paris is the city of light, love, and all things luxurious.

The city is home to some of the world’s most amazing and exclusive hotels. From grand historic palaces to modern retreats, every hotel I have picked guarantees an incredibly luxurious experience.

Sure, I have never stayed in these hotels (my budget doesn’t stretch that far!) but I have done extensive research to offer you the best of the best, the creme de la creme.

Ready to dive into luxury?

Here are the 12 most exclusive hotels in Paris, each one offering a little piece of paradise.

1. Four Seasons Hotel George V

The Four Seasons Hotel George V is the ultimate in Parisian luxury and elegance. It is located very close to the Champs Elysees.

Here you can dine at Le Cinq, a Michelin-starred restaurant that is world-famous for its food.

The hotel itself is a gorgeous 18th-century building, and inside, it’s all about stunning floral arrangements that look like living art.

The staff at this luxury hotel in Paris is trained to provide impeccable service and to have a very keep eye and attention to detail.

There is also a luxurious spa and an indoor pool that I would LOVE to take a plunge in!

When choosing hotels that are both luxury and exclusive, you can’t go wrong with the George V.

2. The Ritz Paris

The Ritz Paris is all about timeless elegance. It’s got that classic charm, sophisticated décor, and top-notch service that really screams luxury. (I mean they even have a bespoke Ritz Rolls-Royce Chauffeurs sercive and do private shopping experiences at super exclusive brands!).

The Ritz in Paris is an iconic hotel by César Ritz that has always been considered one of the best hotels in Paris.

The hotel is also very known for its legendary Bar Hemingway, a nod to the famous writer. The bar is a hot spot for celebrities – so it might actually be worth it trying to get a drink here.

If you are a guest at The Ritz in Paris you will find monogramed bathrobes in the bathroom! How fancy is that?

The Ritz is also very close to many exclusive boutiques as it is located on Place Vendôme.

If you are feeling peckish you can head to their Michelin-starred restaurant L’Espadon or have afternoon tea at Salon Proust. Afterwards head to the Ritz Club which has a stunning pool, luxurious spa and even a state-of-the-art fitness center.

3. Le Meurice

One of the reasons why I love Le Meurice Paris so much is because it is located right in front of the Tuileries Garden. It opened in 1835 and has been very famous for its art collection ever since.

Le Meurice is inspired by the Salon de la Paix in the iconic Palace of Versailles. Because of its long history and beautiful suites in Louis XVI style, this hotel has become a go-to for artists and celebrities. I mean – the bathrooms are completely made out of marble!

The hotel as a whole has a two Michelin starred restaurant: Le Meurice Alain Ducasse and you can get some drinks at Bar 228. There is also a spa offering treatments and a fitness centre with personal trainers.

4. Shangri-La Hotel

The reason why I might be tempted to splurge one year and book a room at the Shangri-La Paris is because of their amazing views of the Eiffel Tower from private balconies (talk about a room with a view!)

Did you know, by the way, that the Shangri-La Hotel was once home to Napoleon Bonaparte’s grandnephew?

This exclusive hotel in Paris is honestly the perfect spot for anyone who loves a mix of history and elegance. Here you can also dine at the Michelin-starred Shang Palace restaurant. If you’re into authentic Chinese food, this place is a must-visit.

The Shangri-La in Paris also has a wellness centre called CHI that offers holistic treatments. Afterwards you can take a stroll down their perfectly manicured private gardens!

I kid you not – this hotel has some of the best views of the Eiffel Tower!

5. Hôtel Plaza Athénée

Another exclusive hotel in Paris that is legendary is Hôtel Plaza Athénée. This is another hot spot for celebrities, fashion designers and overall very rich people.

The hotel was established in 1913 and has been synonymous with Parisian elegance and glamour ever since. It’s located right on the Avenue Montaigne, surrounded by all the chic boutiques and designer shops.

The rooms of Hôtel Plaza Athénée are all designed in a chic French style and many of the rooms offer unmatched views of the Eiffel Tower.

At Hôtel Plaza Athénée you can also find the Dior Institute which offers amazing spa treatments with velvet soft gowns, and afterwards, you can eat at the Michelin-starred restaurant Alain Ducasse au Plaza Athénée.

I said before that this place is very popular with fashion designers and fashion enthousiasts. That is because Plaza Athénée offers bespoke fashion consultants with exclusive haute couture connections!

If you want true luxury and Eiffel Tower Views – this is the hotel to book!

6. Le Bristol Paris

Le Bristol Paris is like a secret garden of tranquility right in the middle of Paris. It’s got this amazing garden courtyard that feels like a peaceful hideaway, where you can chill and enjoy some lush greenery over a glass of exclusive wine.

Plus, there’s this Michelin-starred restaurant, Epicure, right inside the hotel for those who appreciate fine dining.

The rooms and suites at Le Bristol are all decorated with a mix of classic and contemporary styles. They also offer great views over the gardens.

Le Bristol is one of the few hotels in Paris with a rooftop swimming pool. From here you will have the most amazing panoramic views of Paris!

One of my favourite things about Le Bristol is that they actually have a resident cat called Fa-Raon!

7. Mandarin Oriental Paris

Mandarin Oriental Hotels are always exclusive. I remember seeing the Mandarin Oriental in London and being surprised it was a hotel because the only way you would known it was the Mandarin Oriental was by a very small polished bronze plaque by the door.

The same is true for the one in Paris. It is located right in the centre of the city. This exclusive hotel in Paris mixes modern luxury with a dash of oriental flair.

Here you can dine at Camélia or at the two Michelin-starred Sur Mesure by Thierry Marx. This Grand hotel is well-known for its hospitality and is within walking distance of many amazing attractions including The Louvre.

This five-star hotel is honestly one of the best luxury hotels in Paris and often fully booked during the Paris fashion week.

8. La Réserve Paris Hotel and Spa

Another exclusive boutique hotel you need to check out is La Réserve Paris Hotel and Spa. It is super close to the Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe.

La Réserve Paris Hotel and Spa stands for discreet luxury with a Haussmann-style mansion. Because it is an exclusive boutique hotel it offers a more intimate, more residential feel.

From this amazing hotel you will have great views of the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Élysées, and Grand Palais. Inside you can find the three Michelin-starred Le Gabriel offering gourmet French cuisine, and La Pagode de Cos for an international menu.

They also have a spa called Nescens Spa which is incredibly well-known for their tailored anti-aging treatments and they even have a 16-meter indoor pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

One of the reasons why I would LOVE to stay at La Réserve Paris Hotel and Spa is because they actually offer private wine tastings and their private terraces are just to die for!

9. Hôtel de Crillon

Another exclusive hotel in central Paris I would like to recommend is Hôtel de Crillon. This is one of the first luxury hotels in the city as it opened in 1758. Don’t worry though because the hotel has recently been renevated to blend its heritage with modern luxury.

This is also the hotel Taylor Swift stayed at for her Paris gig!

The hotel is located on Place de la Concorde which means you have easy access to major tourist attractions and exclusive boutiques.

The rooms at Hôtel de Crillon are super lavish with bespoke furnityre and marble bathrooms. There is also a Michelin-starred restaurant: L’Ecrin and you can head to Sense, a Rosewood spy which offers luxurious treatments.

One of the reasons why I would really recommend booking this hotel are the gorgeous historic salons.

10. Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris

You have probably heard of the Raffles hotel in Singapore, well, there is also a Raffles in Paris! You can find it on the Avenue Hoche, near the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées, not far from the vibrant Marais district.

All rooms in this luxury hotel in Paris are designed by Philippe Starck and feature modern art and very luxurious amenities.

The hotel also houses a Michelin-starred restaurant called Il Carpaccio for Italian cuisine and you can go to Le Bar Long for some chic cocktails.

Le Royal Monceau Raffles Paris also has a Clarins Spa and a 23-meter intoor pool.

Other reasons why I absolutely love this exclusive hotel in Paris are the in-house art gallery, private cinema, and the lush garden terrace.

11. The Peninsula Paris

The Peninsula in Paris is housed in a meticulously restored 19th-century building on Avenue Kléber, close to the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées.

All rooms and suites in this amazing hotel come with a beautiful decor, marble bathrooms and views to die for.

There are also multiple dining options such as the Michelin-starred L’Oiseau Blanc which has some of the best views in the city.

Of course the hotel also has a spa offering a range of treatments, and The Peninsula also has a 20-meter indoor pool. The 24-hour concierge can also book you bespoke experiences such as private tours, cooking classes, and there is a Rolls-Royce chauffeur service.

12. Hôtel Lutetia

Last but not least we have Hotel Lutetia. This hotel, a blend of Art Deco and Art Nouveau, is recently renovated to blend historic charm with contemporary luxury, incorporating lush velvet materials.

The hotel is located in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district, near literary cafés, art galleries, and high-end boutiques.

The rooms in Hotel Lutetia are beautifully designed and incredibly spacious. There are also several dining options including the Michelin-starred Brasserie Lutetia.

You can put in some laps in the 17-meter indoor pool or get a massage in the comprehensive spa.

Hotel Lutetia is also known for its amazing historic salons adorned with elegant tiles and a gorgeous interior courtyard.
