There’s also plenty of music and entertainment to enjoy as well. In the background you will often here christmas songs playing, but there are also live performances and choirs that sing. The Christmas markets in Paris offer Delicious Food and Drinks

When it comes to food and drinks, the Christmas markets in Paris are a true delight for the senses. On many of the Christmas markets in Paris you will find gourmet food such as foie gras, raclette, oysters, and truffles. I am a massive foodie and I always look forward to trying the food when I visit the christmas markets in Paris!
Apart from food and snacks you can also get lots of amazing drinks. I love a god hot cup of mulled wine (Vin Chaud) or hot chocolate (chocolate chaud). If there is a stall from normandy around you will even be able to get mulled cider. If you are trying a cup of mulled wine, I would recommend asking for a shot of amaretto. It is honestly the best way to drink mulled wine!

Another reason why you might want to visit the Christmas markets in Paris is because they really are a great shopping destination. There is so much to see and buy here. You can get beautiful handmade jewelry, gorgeous pottery, textiles, decorations etc. There are also amazing ornaments that will spruce up any christmas tree.

Special Attractions at the Christmas markets

At the Christmas markets in Paris, you will discover a variety of special attractions. One of the most popular activities, of course, is ice skating.
Many markets in Paris feature ice skating rinks where you can rent a pair of skates for little money. These ice skating rinks are for every skill level – so even if this would be your very first time on ice, you are more than welcome to have a try!
Another activity that is great for families is visiting Santas grotto. Here, kids can meet Santa. I love these little grottos because they are often beautifully decorated and have lots of workshops such as storytelling sessions or cooky decorating going on.
Some of the bigger Christmas markets in Paris will have carnival rides and games available. Sure, that’s not very traditional (I myself am not the biggest fan of this happening) but I can see why some people like it.
