10 Best hotels in the Marais for a perfect Paris trip!

Looking for the best hotels in Le Marais, Paris? I know how overwhelming it can be. With so many options, it’s hard to know where to start. You want to find a place that’s not just comfortable but also adds to the charm of your Parisian adventure.

I’ve been there, poring over countless reviews and websites, trying to figure out which hotel will truly make the trip special. It can be frustrating not knowing if you’re making the right choice, especially in such a beautiful and historic neighborhood like Le Marais.

Having visited Paris many times and stayed in a variety of hotels in Le Marais, I’ve gathered some real insights. I’ve experienced everything from luxurious stays to charming boutique hotels, and I’m here to share my top picks with you.

1. Why Choose Le Marais?

Le Marais is truly one of Paris’s most enchanting neighborhoods, and here’s why you’ll love it.

Unlike much of Paris, Le Marais wasn’t redesigned during the 19th century, so it still retains its medieval layout and unique architecture. You can explore beautiful 17th-century mansions, many of which now house museums, art galleries, and boutiques.

One of my favorite spots is the Place des Vosges, a stunning square perfect for a relaxing picnic or just soaking up the Parisian atmosphere. And if you’re into modern art, the Centre Pompidou is a must-see, with its striking design and impressive collection

What makes Le Marais even more special is its vibrant and diverse community. It’s home to the historic Jewish quarter, where you can find amazing bakeries and the best falafel you’ve ever tasted on Rue des Rosiers. The area is also known for its lively LGBTQ+ scene, with plenty of welcoming bars and cafes.

2. Best Hotels in Le Marais

First of all we will have a look at the best hotels in Le Marais. I would recommend having a look at these hotels if you have a bigger budget and you just want to stay in the centre of Le Marais or you want something that is great value for money and has amazing amenities and is close to attractions.

Hotel Georgette

Hotel Georgette in Le Marais is a great choice for anyone wanting to experience the artistic and vibrant side of Le Marais.

Hotel Georgette can be found in the heart of the Marais district. This is a great boutique hotel that is just a short walk from the Centre Pompidou and the Saint-Paul metro station. This means that it is super easy to explore the city from this hotel which is great if you are someone like me who wants to see all the sights.

The rooms are air-conditioned and individually decorated with quirky, contemporary art-inspired designs. I actually think they are quite charming.

In the mornings you can expect a continental breakfast. The hotel also has a cafe if you want to grab something small to eat or just have a coffee.

Hotel Dupond-Smith

Hotel Dupond-Smith in Le Marais is perfect for anyone looking for a luxurious and intimate stay in Paris.

This boutique hotel sits right in the heart of the Marais district. It’s on a quiet street, but still close to everything, which to me sounds perfect because it means you have a good nights sleep while also being in the midst of things and being able to explore the city. You’re actually just a short walk from the Centre Pompidou and Notre Dame Cathedral. The Saint-Paul metro station is also nearby, making it super easy to get around the whole city.

The hotel has only eight rooms, and each of the rooms is uniquely decorated. They have all the modern amenities you’d expect, like air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and of course a coffee maker. The bathrooms come with high-end toiletries from Diptyque (one of my favourite Parisian brands – if I can afford it), which is a nice touch.

They also serve a great breakfast in the morning. Sure, there is no restaurant in the hotel itself but there are lots of amazing restaurants nearby.

Hôtel Les Tournelles

Hotel Les Tournelles in Le Marais is ideal for those wanting a cozy, charming stay in Paris.

This boutique hotel is located in the heart of the Marais district, just a few steps from the historic Place des Vosges. I absolutely LOVE Place des Vosges. It is one of the most beautiful squares in Paris and I really recommend having a picnic here when visiting in summer.

The rooms are all elegantly decorated with a blend of historical charm and modern amenities. The rooms also come with complimentary Wi-Fi and high-quality toiletries which is a nice bonus.

Breakfast is served in a beautiful vaulted cellar, and there’s an honesty bar in the lounge where you can help yourself to drinks and snacks.

If you are looking for boutique hotels in Le Marais you will not be disappointed. Le Marais offers some of the best boutique hotels in Paris. I love boutique hotels because they often offer a very personal service which makes you feel good and special – I try to stay in a boutique hotel whenever possible and when my wallet allows me to!

Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais

Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais in Le Marais is perfect for anyone wanting a unique and charming stay in Paris.

This boutique hotel sits in the heart of the Marais district. It is pretty close to the historic Place des Vosges and the vibrant Rue de Rivoli. If you’re like me and love immersing yourself in history, you’ll appreciate the hotel’s 18th-century-inspired decor.

The rooms are compact but elegantly decorated with antique furniture, crystal chandeliers, and in the bathroom you will find luxurious Annick Goutal toiletries.

The hotel’s location is unbeatable, with the Saint-Paul metro station just a short walk away. You’re also close to major attractions like the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Centre Pompidou, and plenty of fantastic restaurants, cafes, and shops

Le Pavillon de la Reine

If you’re looking for a cozy, luxurious stay in Paris, Le Pavillon de la Reine in Le Marais is an excellent choice.

This hotel is actually located on the historic Place des Vosges. I mean – you literally cannot have a better location! The Chemin Vert metro station just a short walk away and there are lots of amazing restaurants and shops nearby.

The rooms and suites are a perfect blend of classic and contemporary. You’ll find exposed wooden beams, luxurious period furniture, and modern touches like flat-screen TVs and high-end Codage toiletries. Some rooms also overlook the charming courtyard or the Parisian streets. If you want a bigger room I would recommend booking one of the gorgeous junior suites!

The hotel also features a michelin star restaurant, a spa and a fitness center.

4. Family-Friendly Hotels

When travelling to Paris with small children you might want to book a family-friendly hotel for an unforgettable trip. To help you choose the best hotel in Le Marais, here are some of the best family friendly hotels in the area.

Hôtel Bastille De Launay

Hôtel Bastille De Launay is perfect for families wanting a comfortable stay in Paris.

The hotel can be found on a quiet side street near the lively Marais district. Many amazing attractions are only a 10-minute walk away.

I love that the hotel offers spacious rooms, some with connecting options, making it easy for families to stay together. Each room is equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning and flat-screen TVs.

Breakfast can be delivered to your room, which is a great perk for families with small kids (I often do this when my toddler is in a bad mood!).

Plus, the hotel is literally metres awat from the Chemin Vert metro station, making it convenient to explore the city.

Hotel Emile

Hôtel Emile in Le Marais is a fantastic choice if you’re traveling to Paris with family.

The hotel is located right in the middle of the Marais district. The saint paul metro station is also just a short walk away. It’s super easy to explore the whole city from here.

The rooms at the hotel are very trendy with cool design touches. They come with all the essentials like air conditioning, free WiFi, and flat-screen TVs. The rooms are soundproofed, which is great if you have young kids – both when they are having a tantrum (nothing worse than worrying about the comfort of other guests when your little one is screaming their lungs out – been there, done that!) and to make sure other guests don’t disturb their nap.

Daily housekeeping is also a massive plus.

You can have breakfast at the hotel but the cobblestone streets of Le Marais are also filled with amazing bakeries and bistrots.

5. Budget-Friendly Options

L:et’s be honest: Paris is a pretty expensive city. Sure I love visiting, but I also know that I will be compeltely broke when I head home. A hotel located in the heart of the city can easily set you back 200 euros a night in summer. To help you save on your accommodation I have researched some of the best budget friendly options that are still ideally located in the Marais. Be careful though because budget-friendly hotels in central Paris sell out super fast!

Hôtel Jeanne d’Arc Le Marais

Hôtel Jeanne d’Arc Le Marais is a fantastic budget-friendly choice if you want to stay in the Marais part of Paris near the Pompidou centre.

This charming hotel is located on a quiet street, just a stone’s throw from iconic spots like Place des Vosges and the Picasso Museum. I love how its location makes it super easy to explore the city, with the Saint-Paul metro station nearby.

The rooms here blend historical charm with modern comfort. They come with flat-screen TVs, free WiFi, and really comfy beds. Basicaly everything you might need on your trip to Paris.

Another great  budget-friendly hotel in Le Marais is Hôtel du Vieux Saule.

The hotel is just a short walk from key attractions like Notre Dame and the Louvre, and close to the Arts et Métiers metro station, making it easy to explore the city. One of the best things about this hotel is that there is a sauna available for guests!
