99 Reasons to Visit London (Besides the Fact It’s, You Know, London)

So, you’re thinking about visiting London? Or maybe you’ve already been, and you’re looking for an excuse to come back. Well, good news – you’ve landed in the right place! London is like that cool friend who always has something exciting going on, whether it’s discovering a secret cocktail bar, dodging pigeons in Trafalgar Square, or pretending you know what you’re looking at in the British Museum.

It’s a city packed with history, culture, food, and quirky surprises around every corner. Seriously, there’s so much to do that you could spend a lifetime here and still not tick everything off the list. But don’t worry, I’ve made it easy for you. Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned Londoner, here are 99 ridiculously good reasons to pack your bags and head to the Big Smoke. Ready? Let’s go!

1.The Tower of London

Where else can you see actual Crown Jewels? The Tower of London oozes history and intrigue, from its time as a prison to its role as a fortress. Plus, there’s something cool about seeing those massive sparkly gems up close and imagining what it’d be like to wear them to the grocery store.

2. Fish and Chips

London does fish and chips like nobody else. Crispy, golden perfection with flaky cod inside. Pair it with mushy peas, and don’t skimp on the vinegar. Even better if you’re eating it from a paper wrapper near the Thames.

Tip: my favourite Fish and Chips in London is the Fishcotheque near Waterloo. And it seems I am not the only one who likes it there as it is often mentioned as one of the best – if not the best, fish and chips shops in the city!

3. Big Ben

It’s more than just a clock; it’s a symbol of London itself. Every time it chimes, it feels like you’re part of something iconic. And fun fact: Big Ben is actually the name of the bell, not the tower. You’ll feel super smart dropping that fact at dinner.
